PoolParty Advanced Server
The PoolParty Advanced Server will be the right fit for you, if you need to manage numerous taxonomies and want to develop towards a sophisticated knowledge graph by linking data sources.
- Non-recurring (perpetual) software license fee
- One production server and one test server
- No limits on the number of users, cores or projects
Included Modules and Features
PoolParty Advanced Server license includes the following modules and features:
The taxonomy editor is very user-friendly and enables also subject matter experts to start working on knowledge models only after a short training.
PoolParty applies the SKOS standard, which ensures interoperability of the knowledge models. Prior knowledge about SKOS is not required in order to work with PoolParty as the methodology is seamlessly embedded in the software.
You can create and maintain multiple taxonomies seperately from each other. You can also merge taxonomies into one knowledge model.
PoolParty differentiates 4 user roles with different user rights, which streamlines your collaborative knowledge engineering efforts. The function user groups enables you to display projects publicly or restrict the access to it. There is no limitation on users or projects within PoolParty.
PoolParty uses UTF-8, which makes virtually all encodings and languages possible. The user interface makes it very convenient to manage multilingual knowledge models within one project.
Import/Export (incl. Excel)
You can import your existing taxonomies into PoolParty. The software supports the import of Excel sheets and all common serializations for RDF data. PoolParty taxonomies or sub-trees of it can be exported in different formats as well.
PoolParty provides alternative views to the taxonomy hierarchy tree. Knowledge engineers can efficiently browse through extensive knowledge models.
Rollback & History
The taxonomy development process can be tracked via the History Management functionality. By creating snapshots, previous project versions can be preserved and restored on demand.
The RESTful API enables you to integrate your taxonomy with third-party systems. All data that can be managed or retrieved via the GUI can also be accessed via the API.
WordPress – Semantic Integration
You can develop your taxonomy in PoolParty, which provides a highly developed and user-friendy taxonomy editor and export the knowledge model directly to WordPress.
The module allows you to extend the expressiveness of your taxonomy. You can create specific relations and attributes. You can reuse existing ontologies from the PoolParty libary and combine them to custom schemes (views) for your specific knowledge model.
Advanced SKOS View
You have extended possibilities to express relations and contextual information in your knowledge model.
PoolParty allows to create custom reports and provides a collection of reports by default that can be exported. For example, you can generate a synonym list which can be used to extend Google’s customized search engine or MS Sharepoint.
You can upload a variety of unstructured documents, crawl web resources and analyze it based on a knowledge model. You can have one corpus per project. The corpus analysis includes concept lists and term scoring.
Quality Management & Report
PoolParty conducts automatic checks on your knowledge model and provides you with adequate repair mechanisms. Inconsistencies are comprehensively summarized in reports.
Collections & SPARQL list
Collections allow to collect concept lists independently from the hierarchy of your taxonomy for specific use cases. SPARQL lists are dynamic lists that you can use to show missing translations for your concepts or to derive a set of concepts that share the same relation as narrower.
Different departments may need different taxonomy versions. The mapping functionality can automatically detect the same concepts across taxonomies / projects, which can then be linked with each other. Overall consistency is maintained. By linking taxonomies, knowledge models get even more expressive.
Linked Data Enrichment
Concepts can be automatically enriched with additional resources as images or geoinformation from Linked Data sources. You can extend the concepts also by synonyms, definitions and equivalents in other languages.
Linked Data Frontend
Taxonomies and ontologies can be published and browsed by external parties. Every concept has an URI that can be consistently reused in another context. The Linked Data frontend is highly customizable to corporate needs.
SPARQL endpoints provide a programmatic interface to query RDF data from a server using the standardized query language SPARQL. For every project in PoolParty a SPARQL endpoint is available.
Optionally, you can add any of the below listed modules and features to your PoolParty Advanced Server.
Depending on the progress of your project, a software maintenance contract allows you
to upgrade to PoolParty Enterprise Server at a later time.
With this feature, you can extend the text-mining capabilities of PoolParty by creating multiple corpora per taxonomy.
This advanced feature allows you to express implicit context information around your SKOS concept in a highly precise manner.
PoolParty provides effective workflows for the approval of new concepts and labels in a collaborative project setting. The workflow dashboard allows the knowledge engineer to keep track of approvals and encourage review processes in a streamlined manner.
The autopopulate functionality enables users to create new taxonomy trees from structured Linked Data sources like DBpedia automatically. The result can then be customized to one’s own needs.
You can test your knowledge model and corpora in a prototypical search application.
PowerTagging for Drupal
The out-of-the-box module enables you to use your knowledge model for content classficiation in your Drupal system. Content gets matched against the taxonomy and highly precise tag recommendations are generated. There are further semantic modules for Drupal, which can be used additionally.
PowerTagging for Confluence
The out-of-the-box module enables you to use your knowledge model for content classficiation in your Confluence system. Content gets matched against the taxonomy and highly precise tag recommendations are generated. There are further semantic modules for Confluence, which can be used additionally.
Knowledge Base for SharePoint
This web part allows Sharepoint users to browse through knowledge graphs that are originally created in PoolParty. Broad user adoption is assured, as no additional tool is introduced into the enterprise environment. There are further semantic modules for Sharepoint, which can be used complementary.
Please note, that we offer bundles of optional features to a reduced price.
