Only available until November 30, 2020

Join the founders and CEOs of two of the leading companies in the field of graph technologies and the implementation of knowledge graphs in this on-demand webinar.

Andreas Blumauer of Semantic Web Company and Atanas Kiryakov of Ontotext will explain why semantic knowledge graphs play a central role in improving data analytics, data governance, and content management. They will also demonstrate how knowledge graphs support business decision making, customer satisfaction, and knowledge discovery.

During the on-demand webinar, you will learn ten simple steps to create, use, and augment knowledge graphs to help organizations in different industries and throughout different processes accomplish the following:

  • Cost savings through better orchestration of knowledge workflows and more efficient reuse of assets, e.g., in HR-related processes.
  • Generation of 360° views of customers and products by unifying unstructured and structured data and connecting data silos through harmonized metadata, e.g., in the financial industry.
  • Improved customer experience through precise text analysis and auto-tagging using knowledge graphs, e.g., to improve technical documentation or customer support.
  • Enhanced engagement and better re-purposing and monetization of your published content through rich semantic metadata and personalized recommendations.
  • Quicker and more efficient decision making and research through better search and analysis options, e.g., in drug development, market intelligence or supply chain management.

Along the knowledge graph life cycle, you will understand how to enable humans and computers to complement each other in knowledge management, information extraction, and data analytics.

The on-demand webinar will highlight technologies and methodologies that automate the routine work of data scientists, librarians, editors, and other knowledge workers while enabling them —based on explainable AI— to control these processes and contribute with explicit knowledge, sample data, or feedback.

Designing an enterprise knowledge graph is not an easy task. While you are a qualified knowledge engineer or taxonomist, you still depend on the knowledge of various experts within your organization to successfully cover all the facets of the knowledge domain.

Bringing together subject matter experts is expensive, and if your company is new to knowledge graph technologies, they may not want to invest in a costly and time-consuming process.

That is why we have developed PoolParty CardSorting, a collaboration tool designed to kickstart the conversation among subject-matter experts, knowledge engineers, and information architects inspired by real customer cases.

This new feature in the PoolParty Semantic Suite—the most complete and advanced semantic middleware platform on the global market—will help you bridge the gap between different users when creating enterprise taxonomies.

PoolParty CardSorting simplifies the process and allows users to work on a taxonomy without being a taxonomist, collaborate remotely, and save a lot of time thanks to the seamless integration into the PoolParty Thesaurus Server.

In this on-demand webinar, you will learn:

  • What card sorting is and when it could make sense to use it to build a taxonomy
  • A quick introduction to analog card sorting techniques and their shortcomings
  • A look at some features of PoolParty CardSorting
  • A deep dive look at a session in PoolParty CardSorting - including a live demo!
  • Tips for using PoolParty Thesaurus to grow the taxonomy that was produced by PoolParty CardSorting
  • To wrap up, examples of semantic applications that lean on your great new taxonomy

Speakers:

Dr. Alexi Lopez-Lorca, Semantic Web Company
Dr. Ian Piper, Tellura Information Services Ltd

Climate Change Action Through Artificial Intelligence: Putting Knowledge Graphs to Work

SAVE THE DATE: 01 July 2020 - 5 pm to 6 pm CEST.

This webinar will show you how knowledge graphs, a type of artificial intelligence, can be an essential tool in the fight against climate change. Speakers from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership, the Stockholm Environment Institute and the Semantic Web Company will discuss the tangible benefits of the technology in reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and in supporting climate change adaptation decision-making, policy and action.

Climate change is the most complex and challenging topic of our times. Knowledge graphs – technological tools that allow for unprecedented levels of sophistication in connecting disparate facets of knowledge – are becoming state-of-the-art in data science. The technology is accelerating the use of data in the world’s knowledge-driven economies to create modern solutions for data and knowledge management systems.

With a focus on decision and process augmentation, this type of AI helps us connect the dots in data – and to do so automatically. Applications based on knowledge graph technologies allow users to quickly map and support complex knowledge domains and their heterogeneous data structures.

By the end of this session you will understand how artificial intelligence can optimize knowledge structuring and sharing, allowing us to leverage information to adapt to the impact of climate change and move closer to achieving the goals set by the Paris Agreement.

Knowledge Graphs are certainly nothing new, but they have only been in use in industrial environments for a few years now. Accordingly, one speaks of ‘Enterprise Knowledge Graphs‘ (EKGs). It refers to a wealth of approaches and technologies, all of which are aimed at getting a better grip on the chaos in enterprise data management. A central problem here is the siloing of data and the resulting additional costs and inefficiencies that arise along the entire data life cycle.

There are countless articles, slide decks and videos on the Internet about knowledge graphs. The topic is examined from different perspectives, e.g., from the point of view of artificial intelligence or in the context of extended possibilities for data analysis or information retrieval. Various standards, methods and technologies are suggested to the reader, and the moment of overstrain and disorientation, typical for the arrival of new technologies, quickly arises—so one wonders: “isn’t there a step-by-step recipe out there for how to create a knowledge graph like there is for classic dishes like Wiener schnitzel?”

That’s why Andreas Blumauer and Helmut Nagy wrote The Knowledge Graph Cookbook. The book is intended to help bring together and network different aspects of knowledge graphs. It will serve as a ‘cookbook’ for upcoming projects that want to integrate knowledge graphs as a central element. And above all, it should provide a quick overview of why every data and content professional should or must deal with the topic in greater detail.

In this webinar, Andreas and Helmut will walk you through the cookbook. You will learn:

  • Why knowledge graphs are important and why you should care about them (‘Hunger is the best sauce’)
  • How to get started with your knowledge graph initiative (‘Prepping the Kitchen’)
  • Which personas are typically involved (‘Too many cooks?’)
  • How to make knowledge graphs work (‘The proof is in the pudding!’) based on a set of basic ingredients and recipes
  • How a system architecture could look like (‘A great chef is first a great technician’), and finally
  • How the future of knowledge graphs could look like (‘Read the tea leaves’) with an outlook on how the post-corona society will deal with knowledge technologies and AI

Delivering on that promise requires a foundation that an information dependent organization can build on to support the current and future needs of these core capabilities. Like designing a building, the foundation needs to support both the current vision and provide the flexibility for the organization to evolve and adapt.

In this webinar, the founders of Factor, and Semantic Web Company (PoolParty) will cover the basics in creating that foundation from both a technology and organizational perspective. We'll describe both the role of a strategic information model and the role of a semantic platform. Ultimately, this foundation will empower the building of taxonomies and ontologies so you can:

- Unify your information silos for real-time access & insights
- Classify your content
- Improve search & findability
- Facilitate personalization
- Power AI
- Generate knowledge graphs to expose your enterprise content & knowledge assets.

PoolParty Product Updates: More Control on How You See and What You Do with Your Data https://www.poolparty.biz/events/poolparty-product-updates-more-control-on-how-you-see-and-what-you-do-with-your-data/?mc_id=33 Wed, 29 Jan 2020 10:36:18 +0000 Viviana Rojas The PoolParty Semantic Suite 7.2 release extends user capabilities to make it even easier to use, more user-friendly and significantly faster. As a result, users have more control over how they see and what they do with their data. PoolParty 7.2 has improved features such as project linking and hierarchy tree. It can also be seamlessly integrated with Kibana for improved data analytics and visualization.

Watch our PoolParty Product Updates webinar to learn more about the new features available in the PoolParty 7.2 release, including:

  • Kibana and GraphSearch: The latest version of PoolParty Semantic Suite brings the power of knowledge graphs to Kibana, an open-source data visualization and exploration tool used for log and time-series analytics, application monitoring, and operational intelligence use cases. Kibana users can now benefit from linked data when creating intuitive charts and reports and navigating large amounts of data.
  • Tree labeling and sorting: PoolParty’s newest version gives users more flexibility. It allows users to configure the hierarchy tree according to their needs. The text displayed can include the prefLabel, custom attributes, and other user text defined by the user. Sorting concepts in the tree is another new feature, and concepts can be organized either alphabetically or numerically.
  • UnifiedViews API extensions: In PoolParty 7.2, we extended the UnifiedViews API to make it simpler. The new API calls make it possible to dynamically pass parameters to pipelines on execution time. This makes the execution of pipelines more flexible and straightforward, as there is no need to inject parameters into them anymore.

Speakers:

Christian Blaschke, Director of Technical Product Management, Semantic Web Company
Yuanzhe Yang, Data and Knowledge Engineer, Semantic Web Company
Kresimir Kasal, Data and Knowledge Engineer, Semantic Web Company

How Enterprise Architecture & Knowledge Graph Technologies Can Scale Business Efficiency https://www.poolparty.biz/events/how-enterprise-architecture-knowledge-graph-technologies-can-scale-efficiency/?mc_id=30 Wed, 02 Oct 2019 13:59:32 +0000 Danilo de Oliveira Pereira The Semantic Web Company is participating in a new webinar about Knowledge Graphs together with PwC.  The webinar is hosted by BrightTalk and will be live online on Oct 23rd, 2019 at 5:00 pm (CEST).

About this Webinar

Organising data, for most of us, means Excel spreadsheets and folders upon folders. Knowledge graph technology, however, organises data in ways similar to the brain – through context and relations. By connecting your data, you (and also machines) are able to gain context within your knowledge, helping you to make informed decisions based on all of the information you already have.

So, how can enterprises benefit from this and scale?

Join Scott Abel, The Content Wrangler, and his special guests, PwC Sr. Research Fellow for Emerging Tech, Alan Morrison, and Sebastian Gabler, Head of Sales of Semantic Web Company. Alan and Sebastian will tackle the importance of Enterprise Knowledge Graphs and how these technologies scale business efficiency.

Learn about:
• Application-centric development to data-centric approaches
• How enterprise architects learn how to benefit from knowledge graphs: use cases
• Learn which use cases fit well to which type of graph, and which technologies are involved
• Understand how RDF helps with data integration.
• What is AI-assisted entity linking?
• Understand data virtualisation vs. materialisation
