Indeed\, a notable drawback of generative AI\, and large language models (LLMs) in particular\, is their tendency to often generate superficial and inaccurate information that\, moreover\, does not provide any provenance information. \nWhile it has become clear in recent months that generative AI and especially LLMs\, on which ChatGPT is also based\, are arguably fundamental building blocks of an enterprise-grade AI architecture\, this needs to be complemented by other technologies and measures in order to speak of responsible AI. In particular\, governance models and legal frameworks have yet to be put in place\, as will be mandated\, for example\, by the EU in its forthcoming AI Act\, to provide sufficient assurances to all stakeholders (investors\, companies\, citizens and consumers\, etc.).  \nIn this webinar\, Michael Iantosca (Avalara) and Andreas Blumauer (Semantic Web Company) discuss the merging of LLMs and semantic technologies\, in particular how knowledge graphs can be used in combination with services like ChatGPT to develop applications that combine the best of both worlds to lead to responsible\, explainable generative AI.  \nQuestions identified as critical\, particularly for regulated industries\, will focus on: \n\nWhat is the role of high-quality\, well-structured training data? \nHow should the ‘human-in-the-loop (HITL)’ design principle be evaluated in the context of LLMs? \nWhat AI applications for regulated industries\, e.g. around ESG standards\, are realistic in the immediate future?\n\nMichael and Andreas have been working on the fusion of different AI\, content and knowledge technologies for several decades\, and at the end of this webinar still dare to look into the future to discuss and contrast different scenarios with more or less usable\, respectively responsible AI. \nWe hope to see you there! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Andreas Blumauer\n CEO at Semantic Web Company \n Andreas Blumauer is CEO and co-founder of Semantic Web Company (SWC)\, the provider and developer of the PoolParty Semantic Platform. With headquarters in Vienna\, Austria\, but operating globally\, SWC has worked with over 200 commercial\, government\, and non-profit organizations to deliver AI and semantic search solutions\, knowledge platforms\, content hubs\, and related data modeling and integration services. SWC was named to KMWorld’s prestigious list of “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management” from 2016 to 2021 and has been named multiple times in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions and as a Sample Vendor in their Hype Cycle for Natural Language Technologies. \nIn his role as CEO\, Andreas is responsible for both the strategic growth of the company and its organizational evolution toward a highly focused customer orientation. SWC has grown every year since its inception under his leadership\, and has been able to develop a cutting-edge and unique software platform that is ISO 27001 certified\, and deployed globally across a number of key industries. \nA high profile partner network has been built around this platform\, implementing scalable semantic AI platforms for his clients\, many of whom are among the largest and most innovative companies in their industries. \n XLinkedIn\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Michael Iantosca\n Senior Director of Content Platforms\, Avalara \n Michael Iantosca is the Senior Director of Content Platforms at Avalara Inc. Michael spent 38 of his 40+ years at IBM as a content professional and pioneer – leading the design and development of multiple generations of advanced content management systems and technology that began at the very dawn of the structured content revolution in the early 80s. Dual trained as a content professional and systems engineer\, he led the charge building some of the earliest content platforms based on structured content. Michael was responsible for forming the team at IBM that developed DITA XML – the most successful and widely adopted open standard for developing user assistance and other structure documentation. \n LinkedIn

This data feeds business applications such as recommender systems\, search engines\, chat bots\, analytics tools\, etc. But often these applications do not deliver the expected results\, which diminishes the customer and employee experience when using an application. This ends up affecting the potential for companies to have a real impact on their processes and results. \nKnowledge graphs and Semantic AI as the (better) next step \nWith the help of knowledge graphs and Semantic AI\, organizations can enrich their data and content with semantic metadata\, making it ready to be used across teams and enterprise systems. \nKnowledge graphs use a powerful software stack to support the modern data and content infrastructure needed to create smart applications and leverage existing ones. That’s why Semantic Web Company and Ontotext have partnered to provide the blueprint for your success and allow applications to get the job done. \nOur webinar will put a spotlight on this partnership and show you all the benefits of working with two of the best industry leaders. \nJoin Vassil Momtchev\, CTO at Ontotext and Martin Trajkov\, Business Development & Partner Sales Engineer at SWC as they walk you through the following topics: \n\nHow do knowledge graphs make a difference?\nHow to build knowledge graphs with PoolParty and GraphDB?\nHow to enrich taxonomies with ChatGPT data?\nCommon use cases: high performance tagging and agile data integration\nReal customer stories to get inspired by\n\nWe hope to see you there! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Vassil Momtchev\n CTO at Ontotext \n Vassil has more than 15 years in software development in various domains like life sciences\, pharmaceutical\, health care and telecommunication.
