SUMMARY:Enterprise Data Management Demo Day
DESCRIPTION:Enterprise Data Management Demo Day is a live online event that showcases data-driven products\, tools\, and services from several vendors. Join DATAVERSITY and popular Data Management product vendors for as many as five live demonstrations and get answers to your toughest questions throughout the day. This online event might be your best opportunity to research\, review\, and make the best buying decisions for your organization. \nSemantic Web Company COO\, Helmut Nagy\, will demonstrate a recommender engine from 8:00 am to 8:45 am PT. Make sure you are there!  \nRegister here!  \nA Knowledge Graph Driven Recommender Engine\nAbstract:\nAccording to various studies\, employees in knowledge-intensive industries spend >20% of their time searching for the right information. The right information might be the relevant document you are looking for\, the right person to talk to\, the right piece of equipment to use\, etc. So relevance is key and ideally\, you would want to describe what you are looking for and get back what best meets your expectations. \nIt is quite clear that no traditional search system can meet these expectations. But a recommender system built on a knowledge graph can do the trick. When you connect your business objects to the knowledge graph\, each of those objects is given a semantic footprint. This footprint can be generated automatically\, regardless of the type of object. It can be used in many cases to describe a document\, a person\, a device in more detail. It can be used to recommend similar objects or objects of a different type instead. \nIn this talk\, Helmut Nagy will show how such a system is built and works in a real-world example. \nSpeaker Bio:\nSince 2013\, Helmut has been COO of the Semantic Web Company and is responsible for the design and implementation of all customer-oriented processes\, together with the involved teams and team leads based on SWC’s business strategy. He is working as the senior consultant on several customer projects (industry and public administration) and participates in European research projects. Helmut is co-author of “The Knowledge Graph Cookbook“. \nClick the button below for more information about the conference and how to register.  \n \n Register here!

Enacted data governance that makes sense of the corporate data assets will improve data quality and data management practices. With enterprise knowledge graphs come the capabilities to connect\, enrich\, augment and automate (AI\, ML\, NLP) the data fabric—akin to how you can automatically classify and tag content in large Microsoft 365 environments\, or how enterprise information management processes clean up and transform data to solid data assets that allow for more robust analytics. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Fredric Landqvist\n Senior Information Architect\, Findwise \n Fredric works as a principal information strategist & researcher. SUMMARY:Webinar: Improving Safety and Reliability in Industrial Operations using Semantic AI
DESCRIPTION:ON-DEMAND WEBINAR \n \n \n \n \n \n Improving Safety and Reliability in Industrial Operations using Semantic AI\n \n \n \n \n \n The path towards 360-degree views of an organization\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers\n Alexi López-Lorca\, Semantic Web CompanyZhi Min\, YokogawaSimon Rogers\, Yokogawa \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Shift team effectiveness is critical to safety in the process industries\, where ineffective shift handover is a significant source of incidents. The digitalization of operator instructions\, operator logs\, shift handover reports\, and incident management reports\, has contributed to reducing risk. However\, even though this information may now be stored in a database\, much of it is manually entered by operators using natural language. Obtaining insights from the information such as a list of bad actors\, or simply searching the information\, is challenging because different operators use different nomenclature and abbreviations. \nThis on-demand webinar describes how semantic web technology can be used to effectively address this challenge using an operations management knowledge graph. \nUse this webinar to see how implementing an operations knowledge graph can help your company: \n\nAutomatically gather and visualize essential safety related information\nSimplify integrated manufacturing operations management\nImprove productivity and operational performance in transitional shift handovers\nImprove safety in industrial processes\n\nOnce built\, the knowledge graph can be used to extract and link entities in the operations management database and reports\, to enable semantic or natural language search of the information and to link to other information such as equipment data\, standard operating procedures and maintenance data. The knowledge graph also allows natural language processing and data analytics to be used to draw insights from the operations data such as a prioritized list of equipment\, alarm\, and control loop issues. The operations team can then quickly access relevant engineering information to help diagnose the cause of the problems and fix them. In addition to improving safety\, this can reduce maintenance costs and increase the availability of the plant. \nAs a user of semantic technologies\, you can not only improve workplace safety\, but also reduce maintenance costs and increase effectiveness in the plant. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Simon Rogers\n Digital Transformation Consultant \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Zhi Min\n Data Integration Sec. \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Alexi López-Lorca \n Data & Knowledge Engineer
